So as the title promised an update on my deployment.

We left for Okinawa Japan on the 25th of August. We spent a good number of days in good old Oki doing training and basically just getting our shit together. On the 27th of September we decided to go out for a cruise on the USS Denver. I don't know if any of you have ever been on a naval ship but for the love of Captain Reynolds (speaking of which has anyone seen the series Castle? That actor is in it and im not sure what to think of it.) don't ever do it. Sleeping on this ship was like sleeping in a loud hot coffin.

After about a week of rolling seas and frustration of the length of the chow line, we departed from the Denver and ended up in the good old Philippines, where every woman is a hooker! For those of you who take offense to that im sorry but i wish i was kidding. There are so many hookers on this god forsaken island its insane. Me and my crew then headed off to the capitol Manila. There we set up shop in a 4 star hotel(yeah thats right. navy went and fronted the bill for a 4 star hotel). While in manila we went on several humanitarian missions throughout the region. We provided emergency medical aid to those who got hit hard by the recent string of typhoons. I even made it on to CNN! In case you happen to look it up (which you won't) im the guy carrying the boxes.

So after that we spent a week in the field. During that time the local kids kept stealing our shit so we erected razor wire to keep em out.

Currently we are staying at a resort waiting to get shipped back to Oki

so thats the whole trip in a nutshell take it easy people.

I wish i had the courage to tell this to your face.

I canceled my honeymoon to come see you and you barely spent time with me.

I ask you for help making a deposit for a newer better cheaper apartment and you lecture me about money management when you yourself are willing to pay an extravagant amount on my sister's 5th year of college to earn a degree that will take her NOWHERE!

If you feel like making the drive to Bucks County I will be back on the east coast from the 1st to the 7th. Unfortunately my father's cancer treatment is not doing so well and I wanted to come home one more time before I leave for my deployment in mid May (Rumor is we are going to Okinawa japan.) So if anyone wants to hang out please let me know. Oh and does anyone have Danny's number?

I have received news of my first deployment. From April 2009 until June 2010 i will either be in Afghanistan or i will be in Okinawa. Guess which one i am hoping for. Unfortunately this means i will be missing my first 2 anniversaries. Well other than that not too much going on. I did battle with king kong the other day. The battle went well enough. Well catch ya all later.

yes that is right i have mes own livin space. so that being said; who wants to come visit? I've got a spare room that so far contains a end table (not yet assembled) and my cat carrier. BUT i do intend to put some sort of sleeping device in that room. SO COME VISIT!!!!!

Ok! many things have happened since i last posted here.

#1 I am a married man. ^_^
#2 I am now stationed about 30 min north of San Diego CA (traffic may effect travel time)
#3 I have obtained an apartment! (so now none of you have no excuse to come visit)

Overall my new duty station is quite......taxing. I am attending FMTB, Field Medical Training Battalion. Basically i get up around 6 go run along the beach, go through my day, go do a workout in the gym, and then go home to the wife. Due to all the running im doing my knees are shot to hell.

seriously who wants to come? There is no firm date as of yet (i need to get my next set of orders first) but we do have a time frame. It will be either late june or early july and it will be held at my parents house in the back yard. Attire will be casual since it is outdoors and in the middle of summer. (i don't want to treat anyone for heatstroke -_+)

Good news everyone!. Today i took the last test in my Corpsman A school training. Yes that is right i have made it through labs. Our final test was triage: We are told that a building has been bombed and that snipers continue to fire upon the building. I am the lead scout for the rescue team. I low crawl into this space. The room is sectioned off with gym mats standing upright. There are strobe lights going off and its my job to count the dead and wounded. I have a piece of paper and pen with me. The paper is taken by a chief who then tells me to improvise. I am now taking a head count and drawing a map on my lower left forearm as "rounds continue to come downrange". I am now crawling through a pool of pigs blood to get to the patients. After i have my report i remove myself from the hot zone and report to the Scout Leader. After that i take a rescue team into the hot zone. For the next hour i am crawling about on my hands and knees. Extracting victims applying bandages and chasing mental cases. All in all it was a good experience.

So to sum it all up i will be graduating on Monday and i will be home until the 3rd of January. On the 3rd i report to Naval Hospital Portsmouth Virginia for 65 days PSI duty. After that i will be going to Psychtech C school. I will be in psych tech school until about june 20th.
